The Medico Legal Society of Queensland (the Society) is a non profit organisation that is committed to further the medico legal knowledge of its membership and to promote understanding and rapport between the medical and legal professions.

The Society receives information from and about members in order to ensure the proper functioning and operation of the organisation. This may include your business address and telephone number, your personal address and telephone number, post office box details, information about your professional specialty, credit card and transactional information, your date of birth and other information of a personal nature such as catering preferences.

The Society does not provide mailing lists to other organisations, although it may use contact information to inform members and former members about Society functions and events. The Society may also, on occasion, approach members to source speakers at the request of other organisations.

The Society is committed to ensuring that the personal information held about you is maintained in a form that is accurate, complete and up to date. Please contact us whenever there is a change to your personal information, or as soon as you become aware that the details we have about you require updating. The Society will then take all reasonable steps to correct the information so that it is accurate and current.

The Society will take all reasonable precautions to protect the privacy of your personal information. We cannot ensure the security of all information that you transmit to us over the internet and you do so at your own risk. However, once we receive your transmission, we will take all reasonable steps to ensure that your information is secure on systems controlled by the Society.
