The Lawrence-Brennan Essay Competition 2017
The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatry (RANZCP Forensic Faculty) and the Medico-Legal Society of Queensland Inc. (MLSQ) established in 2017 an academic essay competition. The prize will be awarded annually and open to advanced trainees and recent Fellows within all medical and surgical sub-specialities, and lawyers (Barristers and Solicitors) under 5 years admission.
The 2017 winner, announced at the MLSQ 2017 Annual Conference held 18-19 August, was Ms Katrine Del Villar, PhD Student, School of Law, QUT. Katrine's essay was entitled: Ulysses directives: when advance consent is not effective consent
