Each and every one of us wants the assurance that when we dial triple 0 in the event of a medical emergency, the Queensland Ambulance personnel who arrive are well-trained and efficient.  Today’s pre-hospital emergency services personnel are highly skilled, tertiary qualified men and women.

Dr Stephen Rashford’s role as medical director of the Queensland Ambulance Service is pivotal to ensuring the service maintains the highest standards, is highly efficient and minimises the intrinsic risks associated with every emergency response.

Needless to say, we are delighted that Dr Rashford found time in his extremely busy schedule to be our May Dinner guest speaker.  The dinner is being held on Thursday 31 May 2012 at Hillstone St Lucia.   Dr Rashford will update us on the recent changes in pre-hospital care, how QAS mitigates risk and how it interacts with the State Coroner’s Office and HQCC.
